Face shield PRUSA PRO (10 pcs)

During the coronavirus pandemic, these protective face shields have become an important aid not only for police or medical personnel but for anybody having to interact with a lot of people in general. This design, published on PrusaPrinters.org, has been manufactured worldwide by thousands of individuals and companies alike. We distributed almost 200 thousand shields in the Czech Republic alone.

We gradually improved the design according to certification requirements and direct feedback from the medical personnel. Eventually, we developed the final version called PRUSA PRO. It is compliant with the standard EN 166:2001 1 S 3.

The visor of the shield is highly transparent (meets the optical class 1 standard), it is suitable for long-term work, even while wearing protective glasses (no fogging!), respirators, or other protective equipment. The shield also meets the increased toughness standard (the “S” symbol), the surface of the headband is smooth and comfortable (it's made by injection molding) and it is certified to be effective as protective equipment against droplets and liquid spray (class 3).

The shield could be used repeatedly after disinfection. A thorough disinfection guide is available here. Viability of particular disinfection methods has been verified by independent laboratories, using active coronavirus samples.

The face shields consist of 4 parts, which we supply as an unassembled kit. The assembly is very simple and takes only a few minutes.
