Even heat across the whole bed
The all-new, all-aluminum heatbed with dual-loop heating provides beautifully uniform heat distribution, killing warping and cold corners. The printer automatically distinguishes between 110V and 230V grids and intelligently configures the heatbed for consistent performance in any part of the world. Everything is protected by robust multi-layer security systems.

The enclosure reaches up to 60 °C
Two fans on the underside of the heatbed create a convection effect - they bring cold air in and blast it across the massive heated surface to quickly bring the chamber all the way up to 60 °C.

The advanced CoreXY motion system moves the lightweight printing head instead of the heavy base, allowing for much higher speeds without losing quality. Open files, yours to repair

It opens the vent for PLA, closes it for ASA
Pick PLA or PETG, and the printer opens the top vent for perfect print results. Pick a high-temperature material, and the vent closes to hold 60 °C in the chamber, preventing large models from warping.

The Innovations that Drive the INDX
Only one active component - less complexity, lower price, easier to use. Printing with up to 8 materials is a complex job. Here is how we made it effortless, on a printer that already handles large, high-temperature parts.
High-Speed Nozzle Swapping in Just 12 Seconds
Single-nozzle multi-material systems spend roughly 42 seconds on every single filament swap. They must retract, cut, feed, and flush the hotend, wasting time and plastic on every layer. The INDX toolchanger is much more efficient - requires merely 12s per change.

Cold in the Dock, Hot in Seconds
The moving head carries an induction coil for nearly-instant nozzle heating. It grips a nozzle, brings it to printing temperature in seconds, and lets it cool again the moment it parks to prevent oozing.

Active Head, Passive Toolchangers
Each parked tool is a nozzle and a dock - no electronics. All the intelligence lives in the head that collects them, so a fifth or eighth material costs a nozzle rather than a whole print head.

The nozzle measures the bed before every print
The tip presses down on the sheet and a load cell reads the force, so the machine knows exactly where the bed is. This is much more precise than optical solutions, and you can switch nozzles and tools as much as you want.

Advanced Nozzle Wiper
The advanced nozzle wiper is the key to low waste. Every time a tool is picked, only a tiny grain of plastic is pushed out of the nozzle to stabilize the pressure. The nozzle wiper is located on a purge collector, where the nozzle deposits the micro-blob of plastic, smaller than a grain of rice.
Self‑adjusting grip for different materials
Soft materials need a gentler grip than others. The INDX features a unique mechanism that adjusts the drive gear tension automatically, so you can move from TPU to rigid engineering filaments without stopping to retune the extruder.

Always Ready to Print
Load eight filaments, install different nozzle sizes from 0.25 to 0.8. When you start a print, everything's already ready and loaded. Just pick the right tool. If you like to use different filaments and nozzles, and hate constantly swapping everything around, the INDX is the solution for you.

What is INDX?
INDX is a tool-changing system designed by Bondtech and built into this version of the Prusa CORE One L+. It lets one printer use up to eight different filaments or nozzle sizes in a single print. Each parked tool has its own nozzle. There is no shared melt zone and almost no purge waste - about 0.013 g per change, roughly a grain of rice.
I have never used a 3D printer. Can I still use this?
Yes. You do not need prior experience, and you do not need a computer. The printer arrives factory-built and calibrated. Attach the display, run the welcome wizard, and you can paint a model in EasyPrint on a phone. The CORE One L+ is a large, capable machine, but the first print is still a matter of minutes, not a weekend of setup.
Is there a kit version?
No. CORE One L+ INDX ships fully assembled only. If you'd like to build the printer yourself, check out the CORE One+ INDX instead.
What is the difference between 4 tools and 8 tools? Can I add more later?
The four-tool and eight-tool versions are the same CORE One L+: same volume, same 60 °C chamber, same heatbed. Four tools is enough for basic coloring plus a dedicated support material. Eight tools is the full rack. You can add passive tools later - each extra tool is a nozzle and a dock, not a whole print head.
How is this different from AMS, MMU, or printers with two nozzles?
Most multi-color printers still have a single nozzle. A box next to the printer feeds different filaments into that one nozzle, then purges the old color into a tower. INDX is a true toolchanger: each material has its own nozzle. Swaps take about 12 seconds. You can mix TPU with rigid materials and keep different nozzle sizes loaded.
How is this different from the CORE One+ (Gen 2) INDX?
Same INDX system: same ~12 second swaps, same 0.013 g waste, same induction heating. The difference is the printer underneath. CORE One L+ has about twice the volume (300 × 300 × 330 mm, 29.7 liters), a 60 °C chamber instead of 55 °C, and an AC convection heatbed built for large parts that have to stay stuck all the way to the edges. It is assembled-only. Choose CORE One+ INDX if you want the smaller machine or a kit.
What is the build volume with INDX installed?
The CORE One L+ print volume is 300 × 300 × 330 mm (29.7 liters). INDX docks sit inside the chamber and reduce the build volume slightly to 298×275×330mm.
What materials can I print? What about carbon fiber?
Any 1.75 mm filament from any brand. No chip in the spool. The included INDX nozzles are a strong match for PLA, PETG, ASA, TPU, polycarbonate, PA11 nylon, PVB, BVOH, and other non-abrasive materials. They are surface-hardened nitrocarburized steel - not meant for long-term abrasive printing. Rated for about 10 kg of PETG-CF, or 5 kg PC-CF, or 0.5 kg Prusament Ultraglow before print quality is affected. The 60 °C chamber is what lets large ASA, PC, and nylon parts stay flat.
Does it run on a normal wall outlet?
Yes. Despite the dual-loop AC heatbed and active chamber, CORE One L+ runs on a standard 110 V / 230 V outlet. No special circuit.
Can I keep it 100% offline?
Yes. Slice on a USB drive, install firmware offline, and unplug the Wi-Fi module. The included camera is optional - leave it in the box if the room does not allow cameras.
How does induction heating work, and why does it matter?
The moving head carries an induction coil, the same idea as an induction hob. It grips a nozzle, brings the steel to printing temperature in seconds, and lets it cool when parked. Cold nozzles do not ooze, which is why eight materials do not contaminate each other.
What are the Smart Head and the passive tools?
All the electronics live in the head that picks the tools up. Each parked tool is a nozzle and a dock - no wires, no heaters on the rack. That is why a fifth or eighth material costs a nozzle, not a whole print head.
