Original Prusa CORE One L dual-loop aluminum heatbed with convection-style heating for uniform edge-to-edge heat distribution

THE BED IS WHAT MAKES IT POSSIBLE

Print Huge Objects - From Edge to Edge

Anyone can take a heatbed and make it larger. Doing it properly is a completely different challenge. Large 3D-printed objects tend to warp, and when heat distribution is inconsistent, their corners lift off the bed. The CORE One L+ features a massive, heavy, all-aluminum heatbed with a dual-loop heating system and perfect heat distribution. No matter how big you print, the results are perfect.

Solid steel exoskeleton

Made to Last

This 3D printer is built like a tank - ready to survive the busiest workshop and the most stressful environments without breaking a sweat. Nothing is glued together, nothing is welded. You can take everything apart with a screwdriver.

Let's Look Under the Hood!

Here's a proper tour of the best features!

Six engineering choices that set the CORE One L+ apart:

CoreXY uses two fixed motors in the corners that pull on a long, continuous loop of belts to move a tool head. Because the heavy motors are fixed in place, the gantry is incredibly light, allowing for blazing fast speeds and outstanding precision.

All-Aluminum AC Heatbed with only <2°C Variance Across 99% of the Surface

The all-new, all-aluminum heatbed with dual-loop heating provides beautifully uniform heat distribution, killing warping and cold corners. The printer automatically distinguishes between 110V and 230V grids and intelligently configures the heatbed for consistent performance in any part of the world. Everything is protected by robust multi-layer security systems.

Heatbed with heat distribution

Active Chamber with Smart Temperature Management

Two fans on the underside of the heatbed create a convection effect - they bring cold air in and blast it across the massive heated surface to quickly bring the chamber all the way up to 60 °C.

Fully Enclosed CoreXY Architecture

The advanced CoreXY motion system moves the lightweight printing head instead of the heavy base, allowing for much higher speeds without losing quality. Input Shaper firmware compensates vibration at high speeds, with travel speeds reaching 500 mm/s.

Robust Steel Exoskeleton

The robust exoskeleton from the CORE One+ has been reworked: it's still incredibly sturdy, but thanks to aluminum panels, the printer is actually lighter than the CORE One+ even though it offers two times the print volume. It's the perfect companion for your work desk!

Compact Footprint, Massive Print Volume

Compared to the CORE One+, the CORE One L has only a slightly larger footprint; however, its print volume is twice as much. A massive 300×300×330mm (30 liters) is waiting for your projects. Forget about cutting and gluing models - print them whole! (from left to right - CORE One+, CORE One L, MK4S)

Open Source Approach

CAD files are published. Firmware source code is on GitHub. You can inspect, modify, or compile your own version. No locked bootloaders, no cloud dependency. We've been shipping open-source printers since 2012.

Automatic Chamber Vent Control

Automatic Chamber Vent Control

When you select a low-temperature material (e.g., PLA or PETG), the printer will automatically open the top vent using a lever on the extruder. For high-temperature materials, the vent is automatically closed.

Camera with Night Vision

1080p Camera with Night Vision

A 1080p camera with night vision is included in the package, and you’re free to choose whether to install it. You can use it to monitor your prints via Prusa Connect / Prusa App or to easily create timelapse videos.

Original Prusa CORE One L and standard CORE One side-by-side comparison showing the doubled 30-liter build volume design

CORE One - Doubled!

The CORE One L is much more than just a larger CORE One. We didn't just scale it up; we took everything that worked great and added features for effortless large-format printing. For the body, we have chosen an effective combination of a solid steel frame and aluminum panels to create a lightened version of our proven exoskeleton design. And the results are compelling: the machine’s outside dimensions are only 10% larger (in each axis) than the CORE One, yet it maintains the same weight, and the print volume is doubled!

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the CORE One L+ really run 100% offline?

Yes, absolutely. The CORE One L+ features a fully physical offline mode. For secure facilities, you can completely remove the Wi-Fi module, and the printer remains fully functional while being air-gapped. Firmware updates, calibration, and slicing via PrusaSlicer can be done entirely via USB drive.

What is the advantage of active chamber heating up to 60°C?

Active chamber heating prevents warping in materials like ABS, ASA, Polycarbonate, and Carbon Fiber composites. By maintaining a uniform 60°C ambient temperature, the printer minimizes internal stress as the layers cool, leading to perfect layer adhesion and excellent dimensional accuracy.

Does it require special electrical installations?

No. Despite its massive dual-loop heated bed and active convection system, the CORE One L+ runs on standard household or workshop power outlets (110V/230V) without requiring dedicated high-amperage lines.

What are the differences between the CORE One L and the CORE One L+?

The CORE One L+ is a refinement of the same proven platform. It adds new GT1.5 belts for smoother-looking surfaces, an integrated nozzle wiper for cleaner print starts, and the latest firmware improvements focused on easier everyday use. Everything that defines the CORE One L, including the 300×300×330 mm build volume, 60°C active chamber, and all-aluminum AC heatbed, remains unchanged.

Is the HT Hotend upgrade difficult to install?

Not at all. The Nextruder architecture makes hotend swaps incredibly straightforward. Swapping to the HT Hotend takes only a few minutes and unlocks printing temperatures up to 400°C for engineering polymers like PEKK-CF, PPS-CF, and PPSU.

How does the new AC convection heatbed heat the chamber faster than standard passive beds?

Unlike standard beds that rely on radiant heat to slowly warm an enclosure, the AC heatbed of the CORE One L+ actively drives chamber heating. It utilizes two fans mounted on the underside of the massive aluminum heatbed. These fans draw in cooler air and force it across the heated aluminum surface, creating a convection current that rapidly and uniformly pushes the chamber temperature up to its 60°C maximum.

The printer includes both a brass high-flow CHT nozzle and a hardened nozzle. How should I deploy these in a production environment?

The brass high-flow CHT nozzle is the default workhorse; it maximizes volumetric flow by melting filament more efficiently, which is critical for taking full advantage of the CoreXY speeds on large 300x300x330mm parts. You should swap to the hardened nozzle only when deploying abrasive engineering filaments (like PA-CF or PC-CF), which the 60°C active chamber is specifically designed to handle.

Is the CORE One L natively compatible with the MMU3?

The INDX is more suited for a printer of this caliber. However, we offer a DIY way to re-mount a CORE One+ MMU3 to the CORE One L+ by getting a package from our e-shop and following an online guide.

How much time do I actually spend setting up the printer? Is this a good starter printer?

The CORE One L+ comes pre-assembled and pre-calibrated from the factory. The only installation step consists of attaching a cable to the LCD panel and snapping the LCD panel in place. Plug it in, turn it on, see the introduction screen and you're ready to print. It can't get any easier than this.
