Made In The EU And USA
Prusament is manufactured in our facilities in the Czech Republic (Europe) and Delaware (United States). That means faster shipping, lower import duties where applicable, and a supply chain under our full control.
There's no third-party manufacturer who can quietly change a raw material supplier. No surprise batch failures from a factory you've never visited.

Excellent mechanical resistance
Prusament PC Blend is suitable for printing functional components in working machines. It offers great tensile strength, perfect layer-to-layer adhesion, and high impact resistance. Prusa tested it in its Prusament manufacturing line by using this mechanical model of the compounding line motor coupling .

High heat and chemical resistance
Prusament PC Blend resists temperatures up to 113 °C and a wide range of chemicals. This makes it usable for various functional components in the automotive industry. For example, formula racing team AIX Racing ’s engineers use Prusament PC-Blend to make various functional parts.

Good electrical insulating properties
PC Blend offers good insulating properties. This is usable for printing structural parts of various electronic devices, such as battery pack cases and more.
Basic Attributes
Strengths
- High temperature resistance (up to 113°C)
- High impact and wear resistance (very strong and rigid material)
- Good dimensional stability in comparison with other PC filaments
- Prints don't deform under pressure over time
- Good electrical insulating properties
- Styrene-free (non-toxic compared to ABS and ASA)
- Very low moisture absorption (compared to other polycarbonates)
Worth knowing
- Large models tend to warp (printing in enclosure recommended)
- Requires high printing temperatures (not compatible with Original Prusa MINI)
- Produces minor odors during printing
New spools with OpenPrintTag
Smarter spools. Open standard. No cloud lock-in.
Starting October 2025, all Prusament filaments ship on a redesigned spool with a fully rewritable NFC tag powered by the OpenPrintTag standard.
The OpenPrintTag attached to your Prusament spool contains essential data about the material and can be read with the Prusa mobile app. It works entirely offline, it is free to extend, and open for anyone to build upon.

Explore our PC composites with extra properties
The carbon fibers are added to the polymer to improve its qualities. Usually, it improves the material's dimensional stability and high-temperature resistance. We did this with our popular Prusament PC Blend Carbon Fiber , which is highly desired among 3D printing enthusiasts for its great properties and easy printability. And we took it to the next level when we developed the Prusament PC Space Grade : a carbon-filled polycarbonate with excellent outgassing and ESD properties, suitable for space and other vacuum applications.
Tips & Tricks For Beginners
Larger models may require enclosure
You may encounter some issues related to the shrinking (warping) of the material, especially when printing larger models. This effect is much less severe than with other polycarbonates, but even with the heatbed set to 110°C, the prints can shrink and warp, causing them to detach from the print bed. This issue can be eliminated by printing inside an enclosure or by adding a tall skirt around the object.
Occasional drying may be necessary
When compared to other polycarbonates, the Prusament PC Blend absorbs moisture very slowly. However, when stored in a humid area, it may require drying before printing. We recommend drying for 5 hours at 85 °C. Don't forget to read the drying instructions in our dedicated article .
Print extra large parts with PC Blend Carbon Fiber
Extra-large prints (full print volume) may be unprintable with Prusament PC Blend due to high shrinkage. We recommend printing extra-large models with PC Blend Carbon Fiber, which has similar properties but significantly better dimensional stability.
