Raven supports multiple formats, including 3D color point cloud (PLY), color mesh (OBJ), and Gaussian Splatting (PLY).
Yes. Raven supports exporting scan data in standard formats such as LAS/LAZ, PLY, and OBJ, which can be easily imported into widely used software including CloudCompare, Leica Cyclone, FARO Scene, Trimble RealWorks, AutoCAD, and Revit for further processing and analysis.
Yes. Raven supports optional accessories, including an RTK Module, Insta360 Kit, TF card, battery grip, backpack kit, bicycle kit, automotive kit, and drone mount.
No, the GPS positioning feature is exclusive to the Raven Max RTK edition. This edition comes equipped with an RTK (Real-Time Kinematic) module that provides centimeter-level absolute positioning accuracy by binding the scanned 3D data directly to real-world geographical coordinates (latitude, longitude, and altitude). Since the RTK module is not sold separately as an individual accessory, Prusa recommends choosing the Raven Max RTK edition directly if your projects involve large-scale outdoor mapping, drone surveying, or GIS data collection.
Yes, the laser is safe for the human eye and complies with Safety Class 1 (IEC60825-1:2014). There is nothing to worry about when using the Raven scanner, but it is not recommended to stare directly at the laser for long periods.
The recommended operating range is 0°C - 35°C (32°F - 95°F). The device can withstand temperatures down to -10°C (14°F) in extreme cases, but sub-zero operation is not recommended.
The Raven is powered by a robust 8-core 2.4GHz processor for rapid real-time computing. It comes with 32GB of onboard storage and is easily expandable. A high-speed 128GB microSD card is included to handle massive point cloud files with ease.
Yes. You need a drone with at least 1.1kg (2.4 lbs) payload capacity (e.g., DJI Matrice series). Since the Raven operates independently and requires no integration with the drone's flight system, mounting is a DIY process. Prusa provides the 3D-printable mounting files to help you customize your installation to your specific drone model.
Yes. The Raven's LiDAR sensor operates independently of light, allowing for accurate point cloud collection in almost any lighting condition. However, please note that generating color point clouds and 4K Gaussian Splatting will be limited by low-light levels, as these features rely on high-quality camera captures.
Prusa will do Prusa's best to ship your items together in one package, though there's a possibility of splitting them due to production progress or customs considerations.
